Privacy and cookie policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
At Home & Spaces JDP we respect your privacy. This page explains what personal data we receive when you use this site or write to us, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights.
Who is responsible for your data
Home & Spaces JDP (RNC 133-20792-3), a real estate company operating in the East of the Dominican Republic, is responsible for the personal data processed through this site. You can contact us about anything related to your data at homeandspacesjdp@gmail.com.
What data we collect
We collect only what we need to assist you and to understand how the site is used:
- When you complete the contact form: your name, email, phone (if provided), the interest you choose, your message, the property you ask about, the page and language you write from and, if you arrived from an ad or campaign link, that campaign's details.
- Browsing data: the pages you visit, date and time, the website you came from, the type of device (mobile, tablet or computer) and your approximate country, inferred from your connection. We do not store your IP address in these records.
- To prevent abuse of the form we store an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address (not the IP itself) and use the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot service, which may process technical data from your browser.
- When you click the WhatsApp button we record only the click. The conversation that follows takes place on WhatsApp (Meta) and is governed by its own terms.
Cookies and browser storage
On your first visit we ask whether you accept our visitor cookie. We use:
- hs_vid (first-party cookie, lasts 1 year, only if you accept): a random identifier that lets us count unique visitors and see which properties are of interest. It contains no personal data. If you later write to us through the form, we link it to your contact so we know which pages you viewed before writing and can assist you better.
- hs_consent (your browser's local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined so we do not ask again.
- If you decline, the hs_vid cookie is not created and you can use the whole site normally; the visit is counted anonymously, without identifying you. If the cookie already existed, it is deleted.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, the cookie is deleted.
What we use your data for and on what basis
- Replying to your inquiry and following up: because you ask us to by writing to us.
- Understanding and improving use of the site (visit statistics and most-viewed properties): with your consent, by accepting the cookie.
- Security and preventing abuse or automated submissions: our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with providers that give us technical services, and only to run the site:
- Cloudflare: site hosting, database, notification emails and anti-bot protection. It may process data on servers outside your country.
- Google (Gmail): we receive a notice in our inbox for each new contact.
- Meta (WhatsApp): only if you choose to write to us that way.
We may also disclose data if a competent authority requires it by law.
How long we keep it
We keep contact data for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and for the periods required by law. The hs_vid cookie lasts one year at most. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, object to its use, restrict its processing and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what has already been done. Write to homeandspacesjdp@gmail.com saying what you need; we will reply within a reasonable time and, at most, within one month.
We process your data in accordance with Law No. 172-13 on the Comprehensive Protection of Personal Data of the Dominican Republic and, for people located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you believe we have not honored your rights, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Minors
This site is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date above.
